At home

Burning solid fuels – coal, peat, wood, briquettes – releases toxic particles to the air inside and outside our houses. Sometimes we see the smoke and soot hanging in the air, but often we don’t.

A – Ask yourself: Do I need to light a fire? Can I use cleaner heating sources instead?
B – Burn Cleaner, more efficient, low-smoke fuels
C – Clean and maintain chimneys and heating appliances at least once a year
